Welding Classes

Our welding workshops are perfect for artists, designers and other creatives that would like to learn how to work with metal. You can create furniture, art and sculpture with an exciting old media. For car restoration, DIY repairs and off road mods these classes can help you achieve your goals with hands on training. Our experienced instructors provide hands-on welding training in welding safety, equipment setup, and welding procedures. They are short but comprehensive classes that are taught in small groups to provide personalized welding training and experience. Our classes are oriented toward the hobbyist/ DIYer and not for career building. It is a useful experience for those considering a career in welding to have a taste of what it would be like before embarking on a comprehensive program that would be more costly and time consuming. We also  provide guidance on equipment and gear for students that are setting up their own shops. We also offer customized programs for employers who would like to have their staff trained using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG) welding.

We also encourage youth participation, Minimum age is 12 and also have a group program.

Instructors have more than 40 years experience in the field.

Motorcycle Repair Classes

Imagine going into your garage, driveway or yard and pulling out your tools and repairing or maintaining your bike. Being your own mechanic is not as hard as it seems with a little help from an instructor. This way you can stay on top of things, instead of being blind sided by a break down. Get it done faster, cheaper by doing it yourself.

Don't have a garage, driveway or yard? No worries, we have a community motocycle garage CMG in Los Angeles that is set up just like a dealer's shop. The difference is you're the mechanic! After taking Gearheads' classes you will be able to do just as good a job at a great price. Even if you get stuck, there will be other Gearheads like me to guide you through to successful completion.

Makerspace

We also have one of the most comprehensive makerspaces in Los Angles, complete with a machine shop, welding shop and wood working section with heavy old school industrial equipment. We offer short form welding classes oriented toward the D.I.Y welding hobbyist to get you learn to weld quickly in using your own Mig or Tig welder or ours. The nice thing about this, is it gives you an opportunity to take a welder out for a test drive before you buy it. Our small welding classes allows for more one to one interaction between you and your instructor. You can learn how to weld more quickly.
